Israel says it has intercepted a missile fired from the Gaza Strip

It was the first time in several months that a missile had been fired at Israel from the Palestinian territories.

Tensions between Israelis and Palestinians have increased following the clashes and attacks and military attacks in the holy city of Jerusalem.

An hour earlier, the Hamas leader had issued a brief and mysterious warning condemning Israel’s “rape” in Jerusalem.

“Enemy threats [Israel] ending the easing of restrictions in the Gaza Strip cannot silence us about what is happening in the Occupied West Bank, “said Ziad al-Nakhala, who is operating outside the Palestinian territories.

Israel holds Hamas responsible for all ammunition fired from the area and typically retaliates.

Just today, Israeli forces shot and wounded two Palestinians in clashes that erupted during the attack on the occupied West Bank.

Israeli security forces arrested eleven Palestinians as “suspects in terrorism” in several raids in the occupied West Bank between Sunday night and today, the Israeli military said.

The attacks took place in Palestinian towns in Husan near Bethlehem and in Al-Yamun in the Yenin region “due to the recent increase in the threat of terrorism,” an army spokesman said.

In recent weeks, there has been a wave of violence in Israel and the Occupied West Bank, with multiple attacks, violent attacks and clashes between Palestinians and Israelis.

Clashes between Israeli police and Palestinian protesters were recorded this weekend on the Mosque’s Esplanade, where the Al-Aqsa Mosque is located in West Jerusalem, the third holiest site in Islam. According to the Palestinian Authority, at least 17 Palestinians were injured.

39 people have died in this wave of violence against Israel and Palestine since 22 March.
