Tesla. Workers sleep in the factory and take 12-hour shifts
Factory authorities are preparing facilities for workers to shower and spend their leisure time.
Tesla employees are sleeping at the Shanghai plant to try to compensate for a three-week period during which the company had to shut down due to the covid-19 epidemic.
According to Bloomberg, each worker was given a sleeping bag and mattress to sleep in designated areas of the factory floor. The persons in charge also prepare the shower and leisure facilities for the employees.
In addition to adapting the facilities, Tesla also changed employee opening hours, with everyone working 12 hours a day for six days in a row.
It should be noted that factory workers must be vaccinated with two doses of covid-19 vaccine and will be tested daily for the first three days to remove the virus.
