Oppo has just introduced another smartphone to the entry-level range. Its name is Oppo A55s 5G, but the differences from the original model (A55 5G) are hardly noticeable. This makes you question whether this A55s 5G really makes sense.
First, the Oppo A55s 5G presents itself with the same processor. We are talking about the MediaTek Dimensity 700, which is 7 nanometers in size. This comes with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It has a sub-6 5G module.
It has a 6.55-inch IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and HD + resolution. On this screen you will find a drop-shaped notch for the 8 MP front camera. At the back we have a 13 megapixel main camera and 2 megapixel macro and depth sensors.
The Oppo A55s 5G starts with 6GB of RAM
Keep in mind that the Oppo A55 5G had 4GB of RAM in the base model. And the big news about this A55s 5G seems to be the fact that it starts with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It also has an 8GB RAM version.
In both versions, you can expect 128 GB of storage. This is expandable with a microSD card. To help with more demanding tasks, you can also rely on 2GB of virtual RAM, which is becoming increasingly popular.
The Oppo A55s 5G has a 5000 mAh battery, no quick charge. Users can find a USB-A to USB-C cable, charger and transparent cover in the package. The smartphone is sold in black, gold and blue with ColorOS 11.1 (Android 11).
The smartphone was first introduced in China at a price of € 160 (1,100 yuan) in the basic version of 6/128 GB. The price of the 8/128 GB version is 175 € (1200 yuan). There is no global release date yet.
