ITS It is natural that the development of a certain technology will end up affecting other products, even if they are from a completely different market. Well, that seems to have happened to Samsung, which plans to introduce the technology used in electric car batteries into the batteries of future cell phones.
Says The Elec (via Android Headlines), which points out that Samsung will use the method of stacking electric car batteries in future batteries created for mobile devices. It is claimed that this method allows a 10% increase in the capacity of traditional batteries created by this technology.
Samsung SDI, a technology division dedicated to batteries in South Korea, has been manufacturing batteries with this technology for about a year and plans to own a “pilot line” at its plant in Tianjin, China, to manufacture batteries. of this type.
It is not yet known when Samsung will be ready to integrate these types of batteries into mobile phones, but the first models are expected to appear in 2023.
