Manchester United captain Harry Maguire had to call police at his home after receiving a bomb threat.
According to The Sun, Cheshire police went to the house where the player lives with his wife and two daughters with stray dogs.
The newspaper also said the threat arrived via email.
Maguire, which finishes its third season in red devils, after receiving a € 87 million contract from Leicester (still the most expensive defender in history), has been named one of the team’s biggest weaknesses throughout the season: United is sixth in the Premier League, one of the teams that have scored the most goals: 48. A Maguire spokesman said: “In the last 24 hours, Harry Maguire has received a serious threat to his home. He reported the incident to police, who are now investigating the matter. The safety of his family is, of course, the player’s number one priority.”
