Cabrita Reis brought chaos to the church in Venice Venice Biennale

Anyone who enters the Church of San Fantini in Venice, where artist Pedro Cabrita Reis presents his latest work, instinctively turns his head up. Eyes examine the roof, perhaps the blue of the sky, just to make sure the temple roof hasn’t collapsed. Areaconsecrated late on a Thursday afternoon, is an impressive sculpture made of ruins that spreads on the floor of the nave of the church, located in front of the Teatro La Fenice in Italy. It speaks of ruins, convulsions, the eternal struggle between darkness and light, good and evil.
