Sales of Chinese brand models in Portugal are based on a hybrid sales system, through the brand’s “online” platform or a network of physical agents.. The brand is already represented at this early stage Univex, in Lisbon, and CAM, in Porto, plans to expand to other agents very soon spread throughout the national territory.
Aiways service is provided by Astara and its network, which, if required, relies on an international rapid support system that ensures the delivery of parts within three days in all European markets.
In line with the brand’s global investment focused on new markets, product development and sustainable mobility, Aiways plans to launch a new model every calendar year starting with the U6 SUV. -Coupé already in 2022.
The U5 is Aiway’s first model and will begin marketing in Portugal at the most complete level of equipment, called the Prime, putting it at the top of the EV market in terms of safety, comfort and technology.
With a range of 400 km (WLTP) on the Aiways U5, backed by a 63 kWh battery – compatible with direct current (DC) charging systems – the Aiways U5 offers one of the most efficient price / area ratios in the entire European market. 100% electric SUVs.
In quick charge mode, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 35 minutes with the DC charger (90 kW). Charging from 0% to 100% takes less than 10 hours with the AC charger (6.6 kW, type 2), allowing for overnight refueling.
The electric motor produces 150 kW (204 hp) and 310 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.8 seconds.
The Aiways U5 has a general factory warranty of five years / 150,000 km and for batteries 8 years / 150,000 km.
The launch price of the campaign starts at € 46,728 (Santander Consumer Financing only), the special price of the fleet is € 33,990 + VAT.
Aiways is the first Chinese electric car company to arrive in Europe and is already present in nine other markets – Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.
Aiway aims to achieve a five-figure sales volume in Europe during its second year of operation.
