This Monday (25th) joint action against Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes in the suburbs of São Carlos continues. Agents will travel to Planalto Paraíso and part of Santa Felicia from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Last week, endemic disease control teams marched on Romeu Tortorelli and part of Santa Felícia. 82 tons of waste was transported from houses and streets in the municipality.

The aim of the co-operation is to promote the clean-up of the areas, to make the population aware of the importance of disposing of discarded goods and materials, and to identify irregular waste points.

Agents have had difficulty accessing housing. The health check asked the population to open the doors and receive a team that was always in uniform.

Aedes aegypti is a distributor of Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya and yellow fever.

In 2022, 653 notifications were already registered in São Carlos, of which 236 were positive cases of dengue, 215 were original and 21 were imported, one of which died.

For Chikungunya, 5 notifications were registered, of which 5 were rejected. A report of yellow fever was registered and one case was rejected. For Zika, the announcement has not been registered yet.
