PBH promotes vaccination weekend against influenza, measles and Covid-19

This weekend, City Hall is promoting a major mobilization to vaccinate the population. Saturday, the 30th day of vaccination against influenza and measles will be celebrated in Belo Horizonte. The opening of the event, which will use these vaccines, will be held at Américo Renné Giannetti Municipal Park at 10 a.m., and will be attended by Mayor Fuad Noma and Municipal Health Minister Cláudia Navarro.

On Sunday, May 1, children 5 to 11 years of age will be vaccinated against Covid-19 at BH é da Ghent in the South-South, Pampulha, West and North-West.

The measures aim to increase the number of people vaccinated. So far, influenza vaccination coverage is 27.2 percent. Measles measles reached 9.2% of the target population. The second dose of Covid-19 in children is 35.9%. Check the schedule and see who can get the vaccination.

According to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, the City Hall anticipates an invitation to receive an influenza dose for children aged 6 months to 4 years, 11 months and 29 days. In addition to children, the elderly and health care workers over the age of 60 should also be vaccinated on Saturday.

In addition to the Municipal Park, the city’s 152 health centers are available for vaccinating this public, in addition to additional points from 8 am to 5 pm, with different opening hours and through points. 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Elderly people also have the opportunity to get vaccinated at the Araujo and Droga Clara pharmacies from 8 am to 5 pm. Children 6 months to 4 years of age, 11 months to 29 days of age and healthcare workers should be vaccinated against measles. Vaccinations will be given at 152 health centers and Kuntapuisto from 8 am to 5 pm. Full addresses can be found on the City Hall website.
