Daniel Auster died. Paul Auster’s son was charged with murdering his daughter

Daniel Auster died this Tuesday, April 26, at the age of 44. Son of a famous writer Paul Auster was arrested on April 15 after he was charged with the unintentional murder of his 10-month-old daughter, Ruby, who had received a deadly overdose.

By New York Post, Daniel was released after the bail was paid. Authorities believe his death was accidental because there were drugs at the scene and the dose was similar to what he would normally take.

On the day of his daughter’s death, November 1, Daniel called an emergency number from his home in Brooklyn. The baby was unconscious and was taken to the hospital, but he died. The autopsy concluded that Ruby died of an overdose of fentanyl and heroin. However, it was not disclosed under what circumstances the girl could swallow the substance.
