Starting next Wednesday (4), the vaccination campaign against the flu (flu) will begin a new phase that will include groups other than the elderly and health care workers. According to a calendar published by the Municipal Health Foundation (FMS), teachers and other sick people are vaccinated at driving points, and children and other target groups are admitted to UBS.

The system set by FMS for next week also features Covid-19 vaccination streams, with audiences and stages divided into nine locations operating from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Four of these – CEU Norte and Zoobotanical, Parque Piauí and Itaré terminals – will receive groups already involved in the campaign (the elderly and healthcare professionals) who will receive both a fourth dose of covid and an influenza vaccine. , in addition to other people aged 12 years and older who have been vaccinated with covid-19.

Two localities – ADUFPI and UESPI Pirajá – receive teachers working in Teresina. “It’s important to emphasize that, unlike the covid campaign, in which educators generally participated, flu vaccinations only apply to teachers,” said Teresina Emanuelle Dias, vaccination coordinator.

The other three points – Terminal Bela Vista, Terminal Livramento, Terminal Buenos Aires – are responsible for vaccinating people with comorbidities, ie those aged 50 and over on 4 and 5 May and those aged 40 and over on 6 and 7 May.

In addition to driving, the FMS has vaccination points at all municipal primary health care units (UBS). These locations are responsible for hosting other smaller audiences in the campaign, such as pregnant women, mothers who have given birth, chronic non-communicable diseases and other special clinical conditions, permanent disabilities and truck drivers.

In addition to these groups, vaccination of children aged six months and under 5 years who receive measles vaccine in addition to the influenza vaccine will continue in these locations. To avoid agglomerations and to organize the flow of people, these groups were divided into four weeks in May, with children, six-month-olds and under-two-year-olds, pregnant women, women who gave birth, and truck drivers being admitted in the first week. ; in the second week, it is the turn of 2-year-old children, those with non-communicable chronic diseases and other specific clinical diseases, and truck drivers; in the third week, 3-year-old children, permanently disabled, and truck drivers; and in the fourth week, 4-year-olds and truck drivers

To receive the vaccine, a photo ID, CPF or SUS card and vaccine card must be presented. Teachers must also present a valid payslip or document proving their employment (last 3 months) issued by the employee where the employee works in the municipality of Teresina. Patients with comorbid conditions should submit a report or statement that certifies the illness with the signature and stamp of the healthcare professional. Truck drivers, in turn, must carry a document attesting to the effective performance of the task of a professional road haulage driver (lorry driver).
