The message says that the Galaxy Z Flip4 comes with two batteries with model codes EB-BF721ABY and EB-BF722ABY. Samsung internally calls the former a “sub-window” and is larger than the two and has a nominal capacity of 2.
Last November, we learned that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 coming this year has the same battery capacity as the Galaxy Z Flip3. But a new report from the Dutch GalaxyClub claims that the Galaxy Z Flip4 will eventually come with a slightly larger battery.
The message says that the Galaxy Z Flip4 comes with two batteries with model codes EB-BF721ABY and EB-BF722ABY. Samsung calls the former internally a “sub-battery” and is larger than the two and has a nominal capacity of 2,400 mAh. The main battery has a nominal capacity of 903 mAh.
This adds a full rated capacity of 3,303 mAh, which is 103 mAh more than the full rated capacity of the Galaxy Z Flip3, which means that the typical battery size of the Flip4 is about 3,400 mAh (Flip3 is 3,300 mAh).
It’s not a huge improvement, and it remains to be seen how much extra battery life Samsung can offer compared to the Galaxy Z Flip3, which got 69 hours in our battery tests.
We’re still a few months away from the Galaxy Z Flip4 release, but you can expect to hear more before the official announcement.
