In August, Samsung will launch new models in its range of collapsible smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4.
There are several rumors about the former that will lead to significant changes in the processor and camera, but all that is known about the Galaxy Z Flip4 is that it will arrive with a small upgrade in battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 comes with a 3,400 mAh battery
At the peak of the summer in August, Samsung is expected to “refresh” the world of high-tech with a new Unpacked event where it will introduce two new foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4.
For the first model, some of the specifications we can expect to see at the terminal have already evolved and promise to make it one of the best folding devices on the market. Little is known about the Galaxy Z Flip4. But now rumors have begun to emerge that the fold may arrive with a small battery upgrade.
According to the data now published, the new fold comes with two batteries, the first with a capacity of 2,400 mAh and the second 903 mAh. In this sense, the total nominal capacity is 3,303 mAh.
But since Samsung tends to round (up) battery capacity values, it’s quite likely that the Galaxy Z Flip4 will be named for a 3,400 mAh battery.
If the data is confirmed, this is a small upgrade over its predecessor with a 3,300 mAh battery that supports 15 watts of fast charging. Not to mention that 5000 mAh batteries are currently available in the market, making the Galaxy Z Flip4 upgrade even smaller.
But it’s also necessary to keep in mind that the Flip4 is smaller, so it poses more challenges in integrating a larger battery. In addition, Samsung is likely to update other specifications that may soon be revealed in the online world.
Expected specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4
Other rumors related to Samsung have already begun to promote some of the technical information we can expect to see in the foldable Galaxy Z Fold4.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 should therefore arrive equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor made with a 4 nm process. On the other hand, it should introduce itself with a unique hinge design that makes it thinner than the previous model, in addition to including space for Samsung’s S Pen.
It has also been suggested that the foldable 108-megapixel sensor is currently part of the specifications for the flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra. Apparently, the front cameras of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also be improved over the previous model, although it is not yet known whether there will be an improvement in resolution, sensors with more pixels, or whether the change will include new features.
