The plane was preparing to launch a domestic connection to Chongqing-Lassan, China’s Tibetan provincial capital (lunch), at about 8 a.m. local time, the chain said.
Chinese news agency Xinhua said some people were injured but did not give a number.
According to AP, the Airbus A319-115 had 113 passengers and a group of nine assistants. The plane was evacuated safely and some people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
– During take-off, the crew noticed an anomaly and stopped the take-off of the plane, which left the runway, Tibet Airlines said in a statement.
The incident follows a collision of a Boeing 737-800 plane in southeastern China on March 21, killing all 132 people on board. This accident is still under investigation.
