WearOS reaches more smart watch manufacturers

After confirming that it will partner with Samsung last year, Google is now revealing that Wear OS is coming to more devices in the market.

During the company’s event, it confirmed that in addition to entering Samsung devices, Wear OS is expected to integrate with smartphones from other brands in the market, including Montblanc, Mobvoi and Fossil.

Google has not revealed much details about the devices in these entities, but some of them are expected to be revealed later this year. The company also confirmed that several third-party applications are expected to begin receiving support for Watch OS in the coming months, including SoundCloud and Deezer.

Samsung also recently posted a message on its official blog stating that owners of the Galaxy Watch 4 should soon be able to download Google Assistant directly to their devices. The Galaxy Watch 4 also gets voice controls for Spotify from Assistant, further expanding its features.

Keep in mind that during the event, Google also officially confirmed Pixel Watch, which unexpectedly uses the brand’s latest watch operating system.
