BALL – Svilar says goodbye: “It was a pleasure” (Benfica)

Mile Svilar officially announced her departure from Benfica at the end of this season. The 22-year-old Serbian goalkeeper leaves Luz after five seasons and should move to a “zero-cost” Roma in Rome, where José Mourinho wants him to fight for the championship with Rui Patrício.

Svilar were acquired from Anderlecht for € 4.5 million on 90 per cent of the feed, but he didn’t win in Luz in the end, having played 23 matches for the home team and 56 matches for B. His debut in the Eagles jersey took place on October 18, 2017 in a duel with Manchester United in the Champions League.
