Final Fantasy: Square prepares to release serial news

Square Enix announced at its meeting this Friday (13th) that it is preparing to make announcements to mark the 35th anniversary of the franchise series. Final Fantasy very soon. The information was shared by investment adviser David Gibson, who lives in Japan.

Social media reported that the Japanese publisher plans to launch several titles this fiscal year, which runs until March 31, 2023, but efforts will be directed at the company’s flagship franchise.

In conclusion, Square Enix had already launched a website dedicated to the anniversary Final Fantasy in March this year. One of their next major releases, Final Fantasy XVI would already be in its final direct production, according to producer Naoki Yoshida. The new trailer is forecast to be released soon.

In December last year, the producer had announced that the game would be delayed for six months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which directly affected various sectors of the industry. Because the team had to work remotely, production problems arose and the next big revelation of the game had to be postponed.

At the moment, Final Fantasy XVI has only been confirmed for PlayStation 5 and has no release date yet, but all indications are that it will be released in 2022.

In addition, director Yoshinori Kitase, who is in charge of the second part of the film Final Fantasy 7 Remake, said in January of this year that the team wants to officially unveil a sequel later this year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original game on PSO. It is worth remembering that the development was already confirmed in 2020.

On its official website, Square Enix promises to offer several new ways to enjoy the worlds Final Fantasy in 2022. The page has not been updated since March and only mentions games such as Chocobo GP and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin until the moment.
