Netflix’s Resident Evil series gets a teaser trailer

For the most passionate Resident Evil fans, the adaptation of the Netflix series is fast approaching and is scheduled for release on July 14th.

Now Netflix has released the first teasert trailer in the Resident Evil series to lift the curtain on what to expect. All indications are that while the series is based on the popular Capcom games, it doesn’t literally follow the established canon.

“The year 2036 – 14 years after the deadly virus caused the global apocalypse, Jade Wesker is fighting to survive in a world conquered by insane and bloodthirsty infected creatures,” reads the official summary of the Resident Evil Netflix series.

“In this absolute massacre, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, her father’s horrific connections to Umbrella Corporation, but most importantly, what happened to her sister Billie.”

Actors in the series include Lance Reddick (Albert Wesker), Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuñez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery.

Interestingly, the Resident Evil film adaptations have never been very well received by critics (including the film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, released last year), and let’s see how the audience accepts this Netflix series.
