Sega plans to release several remakes, remasters and spin-offs in 2022

In a financial report on the results of 2021, which ended in March this year, Sega Sammy, the parent company of the developer of the same name, mentioned that it forecasts higher revenues until the end of March 2023, which is tied to “significant increase in headlines“, including remake versions, remasters, spin-offs.

The document states that 4 million games suitable for the above categories were sold during this period, including e.g. Sonic Colors Ultimate, Super Monkey Ball benaanimania and Lost judgment.

With regard to generic games that are multi-platform and simultaneously have a worldwide release, the report explained that seven games fall into this category, yielding a total of six million salesand a sharp rise is forecast 13 million at the end of the financial year 2022.

This means that many new features are coming up, such as already announced projects Sonic Origins Collection, Sonic Frontiers, Total War: Elysium, Two-point campus, Company of Heroes 3, Endless Dungeon, Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radioalthough the last two are still under development and are unlikely to be included in the next tax report.
