‘Expresso’ adds that the tax authority refers to the absence of tax payments for 2016 and 2017
The newspaper “Expresso” reports that the tax authority is demanding unpaid taxes from Fernando Santos of 4.5 million euros. According to the weekly newspaper, the football coach “received almost EUR 10 million from the Portuguese Football Association through the company when he declared and paid the taxpayer an annual salary of EUR 70 000. [€5 mil por mês]”, referring to 2016 and 2017. Remember that in 2016, Santos led the quinas team to victory in Euro’2016. Also, according to the same source, the 67-year-old coach has already resorted to arbitration.
In 2020, Correio da Manhã will report a Tax Administration (AT) investigation Agreement signed with the Portuguese Football Association and a technical team led by Fernando Santos.
