Benfica ended the season with a 2-0 win at Paços de Ferreira this Friday in a match counting to the league’s 34th and final day of play. The match was played by Henrique Araújo. The 20-year-old striker scored two goals for the reds, both in the first half. The first in five minutes, finishing Tiago Gouveia’s move, the second in 44 minutes, finishing Gil Dias’s center from far away.
The game is marked by many changes in eleven. In Nélson Veríssimo’s final game against Benfica, in his second episode with Reds, the coach made a bet on the lineup. Tomás Araújo, Sandro Cruz, Paulo Bernardo, Tiago Gouveia and Henrique Araújo started, Martim Neto and Diego Moreira debuted in the main team in the second half.
