About 350 employees of the Municipal Health Department (CCEV / SESAU) in the coordination of vector endemic disease control are involved in activities that take place simultaneously in the seven Urban Areas of the municipality.

CCEV coordinator Vagner Ricardo explains that the strategy is to prioritize neighborhoods with the highest Aedes aegypti infection or dengue fever.

“Agents work in these most critical areas with administrative work, property inspections, vacant plots and the collection of unusable materials that are potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes, in addition to community awareness, given that 80% of Aedes aegypti epidemics are still found in homes,” he explains.

The Operação Mosquito Zero – Kill or Die campaign is part of the “All in Action – Closer to City Hall” program launched this week.
